Defined as one of the most innovative shows of recent times, Universal Judgment. Michelangelo and the secrets of the Sistine Chapel, on stage at the Auditorium in Via della Conciliazione, offers an unprecedented sophisticated and immersive experience.

Sixty minutes in which, as in a sort of time travel, the spectators are catapulted back to the sixteenth century to retrace the creative process of the Sistine Chapel alongside the great Renaissance artist.

At the beginning, the audience is in front of the Chapel as it appeared before Michelangelo’s intervention. Already a masterpiece, with scenes on the walls made by famous artists such as Perugino, Botticelli and Ghirlandaio. It was Pope Julius II who commissioned the master artist to fresco the vault. Michelangelo, through the voice of the actor Pierfrancesco Favino (ditto in the English version), tells the creative process of his masterpiece: his brush strokes are made alive and close, the frescoes depicting the stories of Genesis come alive and the colours become form and creation, creating magical and suspended spaces.

The show, conceived by Marco Balich, “deus ex machina” of the Torino 2006 Olympic ceremonies, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016, as well as the Tree of Life of the Milan Expo 2015, uses the most sophisticated technologies and, thanks to the magic of the special effects, allows you to immerse yourself in a 270° laser projection, accompanied by the unpublished notes of the soundtrack written and performed by Sting.
